Revelation 6:9 KJVS
“And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:”
I believe these souls under the altar in heaven within the fifth seal are many of the 7000 Zadok that have been literally slain for the Word of God and for their testimonies over the centuries that have gone back to our Heavenly Father.
These Zadok are part of the candlestick in heaven written about in Revelation Chapter 4 verse 5 which is made up of most of the 7000 Zadok that have already lived and died throughout the centuries. This candlestick in heaven represents most of the 7000 Zadok who will return with our Lord Jesus Christ (Revelation Chapter 19 verses 11 through 16) as the armies which were in heaven at the Seventh Trumpet which will sound immediately after the silence in heaven about the space of a half hour written about in the seventh seal (Revelation Chapter 8 verse1). This space of a half hour is the latter half of the five-month long hour of temptation

Revelation 6:10-11 KJVS
“And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? [11] And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.”

These Zadok, which are many of the prophets , apostles and servants of old, who are under the altar in heaven are told to rest a little season which is the short space of time which again is the latter half of the five-month long hour of temptation; the time span of Satan’s reign as little horn during the Sixth Trumpet.
It will be during the latter half of the hour of temptation when the final remnant of the 7000 Zadok who will be here on earth, will be delivered up first to death who is Satan as the antichrist. The 232 final remnant who are the church of Philadelphia will be deliverd up first for a testimony against him.

The word killed in Revalation Chapter 6 verse 11 has a different meaning in the Greek than the word slain in verse 9.
Let’s have a look at the word killed in the Greek.

Strong’s Definition
From G575 and κτείνω kteinō (to slay); to kill outright; figuratively to destroy: – put to death kill slay.”
This word killed can be taken outright or in a figurative sense.
Let’s look further in its prime in the Greek.
Strong’s Number
G575
Original Word
ἀπό
Transliterated Word

Phonetic Spelling
apo’
Strong’s Definition
A primary particle;
“off” that is away (from something near) in various senses (of place time or relation; literally or figuratively): – (X here-) after ago at because of before by (the space of) for (-th) from in (out) of off (up-) on (-ce) since with. In composition (as a prefix) it usually denotes separation departure 6
cessation completion 6
reversal etc.”
We see here that this word killed differs from the word slain that is used in verse 9, and this word killed in a figurative sense usually denotes separation, departure, cessation, and completion.
As for the Zadok in heaven fellow servants also and their brethren here on earth are concern, they will have a testimony to complete before they part ways from this corruptible flesh when the Seventh Trumpet transpires.
In Mark Chapter 13 we see the final remnant that will be here on earth during that dark span of time of Satan’s reign. They will be delivered up first to Satan who is death so that he as the spurious messiah may try to destroy the spiritual life within them.
Mark 13:9-13 KJVS
“But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. [10] And the gospel must first be published among all nations. [11] But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. [12] Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. [13] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”
The 232 final remnant of the 7000 Zadok will be delivered up first for a spiritual slaying, however the Holy Spirit’s testimony will instead issue forth through their mouths beginning a chain reaction of testimony which is called the latter rain. the latter rain of the Holy Spirits testimony will begin to speak through the church of Philadelphia and will fall upon other fellow servants who will come out of Satan’s deception during the sixth seal, sixth trumpet and the sixth vial. The Holy Spirit during that time will go through many of them as well when they are delivered up also for a testimony before the seventh trumpet sounds.

Going over to Luke Chapter 21 we see this attempt from Satan on the church of Philadelphia isnt a literal slaying because unlike the fellow brethren who are under the altar in heaven, not a hair on the church of Philadelphia’s heads will be harmed during the time of their testimony.
Luke 21:12-18 KJVS
“But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake. [13] And it shall turn to you for a testimony. [14] Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: [15] For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. [16] And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. [17] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. [18] But there shall not an hair of your head perish.”
This of course also goes for everyone else who will also be delivered up for a testimony against Satan during that short space of time which again is the duration of the Sixth Trumpet.
Seeing that the word killed denotes separation or departure and completion; the 232 final remnant from the 7000 Zadok and eventually others will have a testimony to complete before they ultimately depart from the flesh at the seventh Trumpet when the true Christ returns with the armies which were in heaven.
1 Corinthians 15:39-44 KJVS
“All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. [40] There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. [41] There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. [42] So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: [43] It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: [44] It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.”

Looking at these verses here in 1st Corinthians Chapter 15, we see that we are sown into this second world age in a natural body which is earthly and with receiving life with Christ we will resurect into a spiritual body that is incorruptible when the seventh angel sounds. This is when the first resurrection takes place.
After Satan’s deception and the flesh gets destroyed at the seventh trumpet by the brightness of our Lord’s coming (2nd Thessalonians Chapter 2), and after Satan himself is thrown into the bottomless pit for 1000 years we see in Revelation Chapter 20, those who will take part in the first resurrection.
Revelation 20:1-6 KJVS
“And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. [2] And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, [3] And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. [4] And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. [5] But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. [6] Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”
The priest of God will make up the Millennial priesthood upon our Lord Jesus Christ return when the seventh angel sounds, and they are all who will take part in the first resurrection on such the second death hath no power. I believe we can see in Revelation Chapter 20 verse 4 these groups of servants that will make up the millineal priesthood
The souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the Word of God will be most of the 7000 Zadok that will return with Christ as the armies which were in heaven written about in Revelation Chapter 19 verse 14. Again, these souls represent the Candlestick in heaven (Revelation Chapter 4 verse 5) which many of them were told to rest for that little season which is the time span of the sixth trumpet.
Looking at this word beheaded in the Greek we see that it means truncate.
“Strong’s Number

Strong’s Definition
From a derivative of G4141 (meaning an axe); to chop off (the head) that is truncate: – behead.”
Although many of the 7000 Zadok who have lived and died throughout the centuries were literally slain for Jesus Christ and the Word of God through their testimonies, many who will come with them upon Christs arrival, lives were truncated; perhaps finished more in a natural sense when their service to our Heavenly Father was completed.
We also see here in verse 4 those which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image; neither received his mark upon their foreheads or in their hands. These servants will be the final remnant of the 7000 Zadok who will be alive and remaining of that number here on earth (church of Philadelphia). Along with the church of Philadelphia there will be the 144,000 who are the church of Smyrna that will come out of Satan’s deception before the seventh trumpet sounds: which many of them will be used for a testimony against Satan when the Holy Spirit speaks through them. The 144,000 will awaken out of Satans confusion and repent and will be made white and clean totally redeemed from their iniquity. Also, there will be those outside of the final remnant and the 144,000; those of their own freewill, who will also repent by hearkening to what the Holy Spirit will say through the latter rain of truth when the church of Philadelphia are deliverd up first for a testimony against Satan. Even they who will awaken out of worshipping Satan of their own freewill before the seventh trumpet will be forgiven and made clean, totally redeemed so they can take part in the first resurrection.
” Blessed and Holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection; on such the second death hath no power.”
Here we see the faithful servants who have departed the flesh throughout the centuries in their appointed times to go and have life with Christ: also, we see in the future those faithful brethren and fellow servants who will do the same. That life eternal is given to those who will depart this corruptible flesh and will join many prophets’ apostles and servants of old who will return in an incorruptible spirit when the last trumpet sounds.
No one is flying away in fact this departure is very much spiritually grounded upon earth when the Lord Jesus Christ returns and plants his feet upon the Mt of Olives as it is written in Zechariah Chapter 14.

In closing.
1 Corinthians 15:51-53 KJVS
“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, [52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. [53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”
Departure.
